UW–Madison State Tour

Now Serving La Crosse County!

Hatchery Riverside

Everyone’s invited to this community-wide celebration of UW–Madison’s 175th anniversary and long-standing presence in La Crosse County. With the business community’s strong ties to the UW and the local alumni you know and work with, we’re all Badgers! Enjoy an early evening of good fun and Badger spirit.

Highlights include:

  • Samples of deliciously famous Babcock ice cream* served out of a specially designed 175th-anniversary ice cream truck
  • Complimentary appetizers,* a beverage ticket valid for a beer or soft drink, and a cash bar
  • Family-friendly activities, giveaways, and games
  • A chance to win tickets to a Wisconsin Badgers home football game by taking a UW-themed quiz
  • A photo booth sporting an iconic UW–Madison backdrop

Bonus Badger Talks Presentation

Stick around the Hatchery Riverside from 7:15 to 8 p.m. for a post-event presentation titled “Growing Grapes in Wisconsin” with Amaya Atucha, associate professor, UW–Madison College of Agricultural and Life Sciences. Sponsored by UW Connects.

Additional Information

The Wisconsin Foundation and Alumni Association will hold this event in accordance with all local public health guidance. Mask usage is welcome but not required. Participants who are sick are asked to stay home to help keep our Badger community safe and healthy. If conditions require a change to this event, you will be notified via email or phone call.

Office of Business Engagement

The Office of Business Engagement connects businesses and industries with the resources they need to achieve their goals. It helps businesses of all sizes facilitate seamless access across the university community. Its team works closely with businesses to understand relevant interests and needs, to bring together contacts and experts from across campus, and to develop strategies for a successful business relationship.

UW Connects

UW Connects helps spread the Wisconsin Idea throughout the state by way of its three programs: Badger Talks, which brings UW experts to engage with the community; Bucky’s Classroom, an outreach program committed to promoting the value of higher education; and Badger Ambassadors, UW students who share their experiences through presentations and events.

UniverCity Alliance

UniverCity Alliance’s mission is to improve the quality and visibility of UW–Madison’s education, research, and service contributions to the high-road development of local communities that reflect the values of equity, democracy, and sustainability. It connects local governments in Wisconsin to university resources to solve community-identified challenges. Students gain real-world experiences, faculty support the Wisconsin Idea, and communities kick-start innovation.

UW E-Business Consortium

The UW E-Business Consortium (UWEBC) is a collaborative learning community comprising Wisconsin’s leading companies and flagship university. The UWEBC helps companies across the state gain competitive advantage by leveraging the collective wisdom and experience of Wisconsin industry and the intellectual capital of the university. The consortium focuses on thought leadership; research and knowledge transfer of best practices; and emerging technologies in digital strategies, marketing, human resources, information technology, customer service, and supply chain management. For more than 25 years, the UWEBC has brought together executives, managers, and senior practitioners from leading companies to learn from each other — with more than 60 professionally facilitated knowledge-sharing events per year. The UWEBC is a model of university-industry collaboration advancing the competitiveness of industry and the health of the economy.
