UW–Madison State Tour

Now Serving Green Bay!

Tuesday, May 23 | 5–7 p.m.
Badger State Brewing Company

Everyone’s invited to this community-wide celebration of UW–Madison’s 175th anniversary and long-standing presence in the Green Bay area. With the business community’s strong ties to the UW (Schneider National, Associated Bank, Bellin Health, and Schreiber Foods, just to name a few) and the local alumni you know and work with, we’re all Badgers!

Enjoy an early evening of good fun and Badger spirit during this drop-in event. Highlights include:

    • A special appearance by Bucky Badger
    • The 175th anniversary–inspired ice cream truck packed with samples of Babcock ice cream including a special commemorative flavor
    • Complimentary appetizers and a beverage ticket (valid for a beer or soft drink), as well as a cash bar
    • Family-friendly activities and lawn games
    • A photo booth sporting an iconic UW–Madison backdrop scene
    • A UW–Madison-themed quiz that offers a chance to win two tickets to a Wisconsin Badgers home football game this season

UniverCity Alliance

UniverCity Alliance’s mission is to improve the quality and visibility of UW–Madison’s education, research, and service contribution to the high-road development of local communities that reflects the values of equity, democracy, and sustainability. It connects local governments in Wisconsin to university resources to solve community-identified challenges. Students gain real-world experiences, faculty support the Wisconsin Idea, and communities kick-start innovation. In Brown County, UniverCity worked to investigate how the county could remove blue-green algae from its waterways and possibly use it for some other economic purpose.
