The Lakeshore Nature Preserve – A Science Expeditions Destination for Exploration

Description

Canceled due to weather.

Explore the Lakeshore Nature Preserve with interactive learning stations for all ages. UW students and other experts will be on hand to help you discover more about insects, birds, effigy mounds, soils, trees, and the geology of the Picnic Point wall. Also, learn about campus sustainability and the new Frautschi Center, and enjoy free hot chocolate by a fire.

This event is part of the 2024 Science Expeditions. Science Expeditions is an annual public event that invites the community to interact with researchers, visit science venues, participate in interactive exploration stations, and more. This year’s Science Expeditions, which takes places during UW–Madison’s 175th anniversary, is co-hosted with the 175th community open house.
