View all open house events

Event details

Date, time and location

Friday, April 5, 2024, 9 a.m.-7 p.m.
Department of Special Collections, 9th Floor, Memorial Library

Description

Long before gaming captured academic attention, there were plenty of educational games, exploiting technologies of print and cardboard rather than digital media, designed for use in families with a degree of leisure and income. This exhibit features (more or less) educational games across multiple languages, diverse subjects, and nearly two centuries, beginning in the late 18th century.
