DESCRIPTION:This event will take place in the UW-Madison Art Department’s Art Metals studio, where various techniques and aspects of metalsmithing will be demonstrated. Heating metal until it is malleable, soldering with torches, how a flat piece of metal is sized for a ring, and other processes will be highlighted. Demonstrations will be an hour long and questions are encouraged.
